Book your compliance assessmentFrom 29 July 2025, Queensland law requires mandatory audiometric testing for workers who wear hearing protection due to noise exposure. AIM Hearing is Bundaberg's local, independent and certified provider, right here in your community, with no travel to Brisbane required.
Under Section 58 of the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 (Qld), all persons conducting a business or undertaking, including sole traders, subcontractors and employers, must provide audiometric testing for any worker required to wear hearing protection due to noise exposure. This applies across construction, agriculture, manufacturing, transport, government and any workplace where hearing protection is needed.
Non compliance carries serious penalties. Do not leave your business exposed.

Industries commonly affected in the Bundaberg region include construction and building trades, agriculture including sugar cane farming and processing, manufacturing and processing plants, transport, logistics and port operations, local and Queensland government, parks, waste, fleet and maintenance, healthcare in high noise environments, HVAC, electrical and plumbing trades, and landscaping and grounds maintenance.
Audiometric testing is a simple, non invasive assessment measuring a worker's ability to hear tones at various frequencies and volumes, one ear at a time. Under the Queensland WHS Regulation the test must measure hearing threshold levels using pure tone air conduction, be conducted to AS/NZS 1269.4:2014, be performed by a qualified audiologist or audiometrist, and be documented and kept on the worker's WHS file. Every assessment at AIM Hearing is conducted by our qualified Clinical Audiometrist, with a clear compliance report ready for your records.
